Dear Celia and Mel

Thank you for your help!  Mel I'm sorry if I've confused you on dates ???.  Yes - when I went to Birkenhead Library I checked all denominations in Landican and also Flaybrick for both George and Alice's deaths but no record.

I am most keen to find anything on George's burial/obit etc.  I've just found out that he was a mason - would that have any bearing on where he was buried I wonder?  I found out by contacting his daughter's nephew who was the information on her death cert.  Luckily he was still at the same address 10 years on.  He's given me a few papers that George's daughter had but we still don't know where George is buried.

Like you say Celia - George and Alice may have been cremated.

I also found out that George and Alice were married in a methodist church in Birkenhead but it has no graveyard etc.

Thanks again

Barbara

Hello.

If you are still doing lookups for Rake Lane, can you put me on your list for the following please?

Lilian Edwards 1955
William Edwards 1946
Ellen Davies 1948
Ellen Davies 1951

I think they were all Church Of England.

Thank you very much,
bones

Hi Bones
I found them all, would have got back sooner but only just had time to get back on the P.C.
I didn't find William Edwards at first because there wasn't one,but with you giving the correct year for each one. There was a William Edward Leigh in 1946.So maybe that is him :-\
The abode on that made me smile all that was missing was turn right at the lampost ;D The Ellen Davies 1948 i could not make out the road name and it isn't familiar.I will look in my street directory and see if i can find it.I will P.M you with the finding shortly.Let me know on here if you think William is the right one.

Thank you very much for the superfast reply. I wasn't expecting it to be this fast.

I don't think the William one is the right one. I have checked for a quarter of the year and it was quarter 4.

I am presuming that they are Church of England, but I don't know. I don't know if the records you have access to are just those.

I have no idea about the addresses, you seem to know more than me!

Thanks again,
bones
