I have a full report of the incident, the inquest and coroners report
Yes so you said :( i had considered that might be the reason why i cant find her burial. As far as i know a person cannot be buried until the coroner  releases the deceased to the family for burial. That could take weeks.depending how long the case went on for. If there is a date for the coroners  completed report that might give a clue as to when the case was wound up.P.M me and i will look in the local paper for you,I think i will have a look anyway.I have come across this before when i haven't found a burial.

will put this one on the topic then it makes sense ;D As Promised looked in the local paper.Big long report on Anne Owen In the Wallasey News in September 20th edition.Three long columns,The papers were much smaller in the those years and the print is very small.I read most of it though they are very detailed arnt they.It said one of the children lived with an aunt. One of her children even gave evidence. There wasn't a single mention of a burial, and i looked past that week.It was to early for a cremation, her children must have known where she was buried.I read that Anne was the daughter of one of Bird Family(still around)Do you think she might be buried in one of their graves.Because apart from her sister they were her nearest relatives. I think i will look in St Hilary for you.

Hi Celia, it looks like it's much the same as the Flintshire papers.
I appreciate your offer of looking in St Hilary for Annie's burial.

Thanks Celia.

Paul.

Thanks for looking Celia. It looks like It's going to be a process of elimination, so I think I'll cross the water and have a little delve about myself.
I'll get a copy of the Wallasey News report to see of there's anything in it that isn't in the Flintshire papers.
You've been a great help Celia. I'f you need any lookups in Flintshire or Denbighshire  :)

Paul.

Hi Celia

Me again ;D

I looked up Charles Owen's widows death cert and wondered if there may be something on there to lead to where they may be buried.

She was Elizabeth Owen and died 25th May 1902 at 88 Woodchurch Road, Birkenhead.
She was living with her daughter and family, her daughter's name Eliza Elizabeth Griffiths.

Don't know if that helps :-\

Cheers
Erika :)

Hi Erika
Would i be right in saying that you looked up where the death was registered.Rather than the death certificate and if you ordered it would it would it say where she is buried ???
No it wont,(i think that should be added to death certs once obtained by the family)She will probably be with her husband though.

Hi Erika
My research for your Elizabeth has truly been jinxed today ;D my fault partly, I can now see the funny side now though. Last week I took note that the archives were closed on Friday 26th so it would have to be Thursday.Got to the bus stop and couldn't remember if the 26th was a Thursday or Friday I lost a day somewhere this week, I never checked before I left. I went anyway I asked the man at the desk if the archives were open, no it wasn’t ::) so said I would come back in the morning. They don’t open on a Saturday anymore says he ::)
This afternoon I went to wallasey library (now my knee is better) to look for the burial in Rake lane + other ones, film reader in use ::), right I will look in the churchyard burials and M.I. books non of them are Birkenhead, but you never know I might find Elizabeth. They were not there not a single one??? the reason being very obvious to me. A few months ago someone stole one of the first set of four M.I. books  >:(which hadn’t been noticed till I pointed it out. They had been complete a few days before cos I was using them they were only given to the library after years of work, in January? This year. Anyway you have to ask for them now in case the thief comes back for more (I presume) the staff were very busy so I didn’t like to ask for the books one by one. Because there are a lot and it would taken the rest of the afternoon ;D. All because of that +++ thief :(.So no results to day Erika.
