I just got your email and have just picked myself up off the floor ;D ;D I am shocked 1953 your poor mother, why tell a child a lie like that :(  You did mention that Reginald might gone back to liverpool didnt you. It is unfortunate that ancestry Free G.R.O. B.M.D is no longer available to us non members.Or he would have been found befor now.I would not however have looked up as far as you did.I had just started to search around for Staff records of The G.P.O.
didnt have much luck though. Are you going to send for the Death certificate that will give new information. No you wont be able to find out where he is actualy buried there are lots of cemeteries in Liverpool. So it means another long search, on the Lancashire board, they might be som cems in the Lancashire resourses.I cant help with that one i am afraid.I can only do wirral.Gosh i am realy chuffed for you.Do keep in contact with me via email, because now i know the correct year of death i might be able to find some bits of information

I get the feeling there is some information missing somewhere in regard To Reginald Edwin, what a cant fathom out at the moment.
;) ;D

Hi Celia,
This may sound rather odd but when I was doing the search for Reginalds death thru Ancestrys Complete Marriage Files and all thru the Quarters I was getting frustrated and spoke out loud saying something like REGINALD where are you ^%$#@!#$$%!!!!! and lo and behold he appeared on the very page that was opening the image page SPOOKY  :o :o :o EH!!!
I have been speaking out loud a couple of times now but it hasnt worked! ha!! ha!!
Also did you get the email re all the chilren he had with his second wife etc if not when your email is back online I will resend them.
Cheers
Maureen

HI Maureen & Linda
because i know a lot of members read this topic even thought they don't have look ups done. They like to follow stories. So thought i would reply on here rather that email it also keeps Linda in the picture ;D We now know Reginald will probably be buried in Liverpool.Because I found a second marriage for him in wirral,He had a couple of children in wirral. Then Moved to liverpool where more where born.I tracked Reginald back from 1951 to only a couple of years due to lack of available directories. After his death i tracked his wife back to down197? as far as the books took me, She was Still at the same address in Liverpool.

Now some good news  ;D and another problem :( I found the burial In The Roman Catholic burials, of Martha Agnes Kate Ryan age 62, the address you know, she was buried on 7th January 1937.In the section next to your grandmothers It gives a grave number unlike you grandmothers. The Problem,There is no burial for Joseph
in the October 1/4 I thought maybe he had been cremated and his ashes scattered late .so went through  the next year to no avail. It is  still possible he might have been cremated and his ashes scattered on his wifes grave. But if the family don't advise the registrar of their intentions to do this.He wont be on a burial register.Because he wasn't buried. If the family do contact the registrar of their intentions, then,i cant remember if it gives the death date but it does give His name abode etcetera,it the says cremated and the date.So we are stuck on that one for the time being. Why wasn't he buried with his wife though.I wouldn't think a cremation is that much cheaper than a funeral even without a head stone.I asked the library about sending the Fax i mentioned they said as long as have the info thats O.K .I didn't have the grave number for your grandmother and they needed that. But now i have a Number for Martha so maybe that will give me something. If there had been a gravestone for Martha i would have seen it before now.
Regards Miss Marples + Celia

Dear Miss Marple alias Celia ;)
Well done in both areas of the Hannah's and Ryan's, I am sorry for having such awkward relations for you to trace and research about.
Re Reginald my Grandfather that you have been searching for the last couple of months and you found him and nows he has disappeared again on you, but I reckon too he is somewhere in Liverpool as well.
I was amazed to know from you his wife was still alive upto the 1970's and who knows how long after, I will research into that one and see what I can find and letoyu know.
Re Martha Agnes Kate Ryan & Joseph well done again, re Joseph being cremated I am not too sure about that as I know my Mums beleif the family did not beleive in cremations as Martha was a strict practising Roman Catholic. Maybe her husband Joseph Edward Ryan beleifs where not as strong as his wifes and he was able to do it as he died 3 years later than his wife.
I am really greatful and amazed to all the research you have done for me and a special thanks to Linda as well as for her connecting me to you.
Hope to hear from you soon
Cheers
Maureenxxx

English Daisey
I am putting this on here for various reasons, but mainly because rootschats P.M replies take so long to go lately. It times out and i have to re-type it again :-X ;)

Good News at last ;D I found John in the cemetery that i had said was the last place he would be in due to the years of Death. It is the first place i should have looked in the first place, but i am stubborn and checked all the others first ;D Found him in Flaybrick i no time :)

John Hayes Buried December 16th 1912 age 74 Occupation Hydrolicsman 60 Beckwith Street. Parish B/Head M. O.B. Private Grave Sec 7 Grave 280. I had to leave to for the  lunch hour so didn't find out who else is in the grave  if anyone was.As you know i cant go to this cemetery it far to big and i have never been there.I have a new map of Flaybrick, mine was tatty. So you might be lucky if you request a grave lookup, now it is known exactly where his grave is.If the stone is no longer there let me know.
Happy days
Celia
