Maureen
I get the feeling there is some information missing somewhere in regard To Reginald Edwin, what a cant fathom out at the moment. When and where was your last siting of him(on Record) How do you know he was worked for B.T.Was that on the marriage cert of Reginald & Agnes.Or was it on your mothers Birth certificate?
Do you have your mothers Marriage certificate? In the Fathers Mothers names does it say  Reginald is Deceased?

Reginald is not in the wirral directories 1914/15  1917/18 or 1925/26 so i have come to the conclusion right or wrong :)That he was living with someone,so wasn't a House holder and therefor wont appear in them.
in 1917/18 in
11 Demesne Street the House holder was Joseph E Ryan Chimney sweep
1917/18 Joseph E Ryan Chimney sweep
1920/21 same address but he is now a jobber.
So were Reginald & Agnes living with him?and where did Reginald dissapear to i wonder ???

I been looking in the Deaths, U.K B.M.D because they sometimes go up to 1972 and  Hannah does.Which is brilliant.I did a search all counties, unfortunately yours didn't come up, for some reason the 1920's haven't been transcribed. However there are quite a few Hannah registered wirral .That might be connected to you.In the Free B.M.D. which i don't think goes as far.I did a search just putting Hannah all counties there are hundreds, also a quiet a few in Liverpool,Have you seen those

Hi All
After years of doing burial lookups for rake lane sometimes with very vague information. In January of this year my job was made a lot easier by a couple who themselves, not a F.H.S. took all the Monumental inscriptions of all the stones left standing. It must have taken a long time even with 2 people. They had a set of four books published which i have used since they came to the library.I went up one week recently to use them, they were in the same place as usual and the place i put them back.About 3 days later i had to go back to re-check a date,I noticed right away they had been moved to the other side  of the sill they have never been there before. There were only 3 books( i noticd later the staff cant see you from that side),i pointed it out to the librarian she said its been misplaced. As these books are in a half box you don't misplace them, you put them back.My instinct  told me they had been stolen,so i went back i week ago having given them time to prove me wrong ;)There still only 3 books in the box and the missing one cant be found.I was fuming and had to leave the library i was so upset that anyone could do such a thing after all the hard work that has gone into those books. The other three are now out of help yourself reach. So now if anyone wants to see if a particular person is mentioned in the book and they are mention as being in  plot ? if they are in 1 of the 7 plots now missing, the information is no longer available. Thanks to the thief that stole the book :-X :-X I keep hoping i am wrong and that it might turnup but i think not.

Celia,
It is a shame and very callous that a person could stoop so low to steal the book and I hope it has been misplaced as the book is very valuable in many ways.
It is amazing if how they got it out of the library, In our libraries here in Australia in the area that I live in before you exit the library you have to pass thru like a scanner as you check out and if you have not shown the books to a Librarian that you want to lend to take home the alarm goes off. This is for all books not just reference ones which you can't take home of course.
It would be a good idea for all libraries to have at least you could trace or catch the thief!!!!
Re the 1920's deaths not being transcribed yet this is where I think the problem lies with my Grandfather Reginald as not being able to find him!!
Also Celia I would like to mention another site i stumbled across yesterday but you most probally know of it, it is called the "Old Mersey Times" and has a lot of links and interesting informaton and I hope it would be helpful to you for your research you do to help people.
Regards
Maureen

 ;D ;) :)
Dear Celia,
I HAVE FOUND REGINALD EDWIN HANNAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I searched thru every quarter of every year since 1921 in the COMPLETE BMD INDEX in Ancestry right thru till 1953 and he appeared on the list.
Reginald E Hannah- Age 55 - Bootle-Volume 10 B Page 621
PreviouslyI had searched thru all the historical records of ancestry with all details in different ways and nothing of his death came up.
I feel very sorry for my Mum tho because she was told that he died when she was 5 or 6 so grew up without a Father as well.
Now that he died in Bootle would it be possible now to find out where he is actually buried??
Thanks for all your hard work on this one as well.
Cheers  ;)
Maureen
