I would really appreciate you looking for Leonard K. Woods. He was B.1925 and died 1936. I think his address at the time was St Georges Park in New Brighton. I know he was buried with his Father, Leonard Garner Woods (my Grandfather) but don't know the date of his death, probably early 1950's. They weren't Catholics and my own Fathers description of bottom left hand corner of Rake Lane wasn't much help to me and he didn't say from which gate!! Thanks for any help you can give, it's a vast cemetary with little to go on  :D

Hello Bubblejack
I will look for your Leonard later in the week, loved your dads description ;D but i would at a guess, say he meant seaview road entrance.Because the top end as i call it.Rake lane is mostly Catholic and doesn't have a "bottom left hand corner" but we will see :)

Hi Bubblejack

I was also able to do yours, but a bit of a mystery here. There is no record of a burial in Rake Lane for Leonard K Woods 1936.I looked right through that year. There were other woods but no Leonard.I also looked for Leonard Garner Woods 1950.no record of burial found. I did find in the year 1936.
Buried 6th April 1936. age 11 years Leonard Ruth Woods.   New Brighton M.O.B 2nd class Plot 14c
are you sure of the death year?If you have the right year.I will look on the noncon film.I only looked at C.O.E.I might find them on there.

Hi Celia what a fast worker you are.I know that Leonard died on March 29th 1936 and was buried on April 1st (I have my Dad's diaries) I had the K from 1837 and nowhere else so maybe incorrect. As for Leonard Garner He died after 1949 and before 1955 and I was told that they were in the same grave. Thank you so much for looking for me.

By the way Celia what does MOB 2nd class or COH stand for  ??? Can't work out the chances of 2 Leonard Woods being buried within 5 days of each other so may just be the right one after all. Thanks for your hard work

Hello bubblejack
the M.O.B stands for Mode of Burial C.O.H should be C.O.E.sorry,that stands for Church of England.I don't understand your meaning of two Leonard woods being buried within 5 days of each other  ???. I did look up the two years you asked me to. 1936 and 1950 (probably ;D
Your burials were not on the C.O.E film as said. You know they are there in the cem. So i will check the Non conformist on Thursday. I have never heard of Ruth as a middle name for a man before, its very unusual.

I meant that if my Leonard Woods was buried on April 1st aged 11 it would be a very long shot that another Leonard Woods was buried on the 6th also aged 11. But I presume stranger things have happened as I'm learning quickly with family trees!!!  :D
