Hi Celia,
I had a chance to have a look around the 13G section of Rake Lane today, Eddie was doing a job up that way so we spent a quarter of an hour or so looking for 385 and 170, no sign of the gravestones, just a few patches of grass(see photo)were I think they should have been. Next time I go I may just take that knitting needle

. I am beginning to think all my ancestors were so poor they could never afford headstones

. Maybe when you get the chance to look up the other Fishwicks you wont find them buried in section 13G

It just seems like so many of the graves in Rake Lane are just falling to pieces. I am sure when I used to go there many many years ago with my aunt, the place was not in such a sorry state.
We also took another photo of a grave near the Seaview Road entrance, I noticed it was written in French,it is another one that will dissapear under the grass soon. I thought it was very sad as the first person in it is a little girl born in France who died here when she was only 13 years old.
