Hello Lorrie
I had to go to the library again today to see if i could finish any bits off for various people.I was looking through some Churchyard M.I'S.I found a book for Parish Church of Holy Trinity (Hoylake) do you think any of your Aldreds could be there because i found three graves different sections more than 8 people in the graves. Deaths range from 1882 to 1972.

Celia,
As far as I am aware none of my Aldreds were in Hoylake.
They came from Lancashire and lived in Birkenhead. They were all girls born to this particular line and so changed their names upon marriage.
The Aldreds I am looking for are Thomas and his wife Roseanna although I have reason to believe Thomas was killed in WW1. Rose I know died in Birkenhead. Prior to Thomas though they are all in Lancashire unless any siblings of his settled but am still researching that bit.
Regards
Lorrie

Hi
I must share something amazing that i found yesterday that i wasn't looking for. Having visited the library and done what i went to do quicker than expected.I decided to look at the reference books ( all copied my hand) of the B.M.D.entered in the Birkenhead & Wallasey News. For Various years, never took note of them, but i think 50,60,70,
So I used the information one of you gave me. The book just gives a surname and the D/M.Y of the paper the death appeared in.So i used the surename to check it out,and asked for that film.I have never looked at newpapers on film before. It wasn't the man, i then decided to brows the front page. That is when i saw an article,a report on the death of a schoolboy  in the 50's it wasn't a natural death so it was the newpapers court  inquest report. How/why he died and a whole lot more. The Surename belongs to a man i have been helping for the last 6 months. I recognized immediately one of the names mentioned. I wasn't sure where i had seen the boys name though. At home i went through my emails and found that the boy.Is the one mentioned on the gravestone that myself and another lady found in Rake lane. The stone gave no indication of the boys relationship to the others. Due to my finding it is now known that the boy was the brother of the man i am helping. The boy had a tragic accidental death. I find it amazing i had that paper for that year and day.I was glad to find it,but sad i have to report such a sad thing.I may start doing these lookups now the winter is coming, but don't all rush at once ;D  An obituary can tell you some things you might not know.It might be an article or two lines.

Hi Celia  :)

I think you must have been a medium in a previous life, you do seem to have the knack of dropping on to things, keep up the good work, how I wish my ancesters were from your neck of the woods, I could keep you busy for years.

well done  :)
