I have put your P.M on the topic as your info with regard to names might be of interest to others.

Quote
Hi Celia,
I have found her record in June Qtr 1931 she died in Birkenhead so I think she will be in that area not Wallasey.
It is listed as Ebeldar strangely enough as is her birth record which I thought had been mis transcribed but now am not too sure???
She definitely was married to William Carson in 1880 and according to records is listed as Everelda.
Does that narrow it or do I need more?
Regards
Lorrie

Thank you for the birth year Lorrie, thats great :)
The reason i asked if Ebelda! was a spinster is because i was looking for a birth. So of course i didn't find it because i was looking under her married name ;D She wont be  buried in Landican because it wasn't open then,Flaybrick maybe. While i am here ;) took a walk around Rake Lane Cem this afternoon on some plots i haven't been round since i collected M.S M.I's.To see if i could spot any names i previously couldn't find. Stepped onto a plot guess what ??? An Aldred Headstone :o do you have a Henrietta Aldred,Alice Aldred or a William john !!!! the rest is buried. Also a William John Allen.Might be no connection but!!

Celia,
In respect of the Aldreds nothing at the moment to match your find but I will keep the details just in case.
Thanks again for your help. Also I have found from family discussion that Rosanna Aldred was living with one of her daughters when she died we think in the Charing Cross area. Does this help in locating where she may be buried?
Would Bidston be a likely?

Hi Lorrie
I will probably have to leave your lookup till Monday,Tuesday as it will take a bit longer than the others.I will do the present one first then go back to Aldred. In the meantime,The stone was standing but it was in 2 halves. The top half leaning against the front on the ground. That said I.L.M of my dear wife Henrietta Aldred died 10th Nov 1909 age 53 also William John ,The rest is buried in the earth But it might be her husband.the other half says.Alice Aldred died 30th sep 1923 age 67
William John Allen died 14th Dec 1936 age 23

Celia

P.S.The local library has M.I's. compiled by various F.H.S in Wirral.Taken from Churchyards. So i might pop in on Saturday and have a look. That will eliminate where  Everelda isn't buried

Hello Celia,
Thank you very much for the Southcomb information. When we visit Rake Lane cemetery, will it be open? Are we able to look around & find Plot G grave number 4 quite easily or do we need to contact the superintendant beforehand?
Thanks again for doing the leg work - it is much appreciated.
Regards,
Graham

Hello Graham
It plot 4.G Rake lane is never closed.Council wont close the gates like they do in most counties. No staff available only the gardeners. When you visit go in the Main entrance which is Rake Lane. You are lucky you wont have far to go,when you go in the main gate.Turn right follow the path round the corner and its the third on the left.(from the path)On Page 5 i have a map, click the print on the picture to print the map.
