my great great gran married a hocking in cornwall and then went onto marry a floyd (who went by the name of dd floyd.maybe short for david, dont know)
anyone have any info on this line?
this lady went by the name of mam floyd, so much that even my father didnt know her real name!
help most appreciated!

Hi Deb, are you trying to find the date of the marriage, or information about her first name - or some other info?

am going to get her husbands death cert, hopefully it will have her first name on it, what do you think? if not i dont know where to start with this lady
i am looking to place her in the family if anything, name, dates etc..

Hi Deb, the death certificate for her husband will not have the wifes name on it, unless she is the one who informs the registrar of the death. Most of the ones I have sent for do have relatives names on them as the informant, often a son, etc.
The best information would be on a birth certificate for one of her children, what information do you have here?
