Fix my old beefeater please

I was recently sent this photo of my great grandfather.  Can anything be done to improve it?   Grateful for any help you can give.

I Just removed the specks and refixed the photograph and recoloured it

What a superb picture, it had to keep its original colour. Repaired, Cleaned, couple of low filters and a new border
