1841 Census
« on: Friday 04 November 05 18:09 GMT (UK) »
Please can some one look up a couple of people on the 1841 Census they are

Joseph Ablett

James Durrant

i don't know how old they would be but a wild guess would be about 42 as their children were 22 and 21 respectfully.  Know this is a bit of a long shot but any help would be appreciated

Many thanks

Susan

Can you give us an idea which part of Suffolk they might have been in.

Hi Susan

The only Joseph ABLETT/variants that I can find in the 41 index is 35.  Ages are often rounded down to the nearest 5 though.  Relationships within families are not given, nor is marital status or exact place of birth.

HO107/1029/8 - 8
Corton Street
Corton
Suffolk

ABBLETT Joseph, 35, (no occupation given) Born in County.  (He appears to be lodging at the Inn.)

There are 48 James DURRANTS/variants on the 41 index. None at Occold.  Do you have any extra information, wife or children's names etc?

Rick :)

Hi Susan

As we haven't heard from you, I am going to assume that this information is no longer required and move your post over to the Suffolk COMPLETED board.  If this is not the case, please let me know, and I will move the post back to the active forum.

Best Wishes
Rick :)
