Where is Hamswell Suffolk please ?

On every census my ancestor has said his place of birth was Hamswell, Suffolk (it was also spelt Amswell on one return) but I can't find it on the map.  Does anyone have any idea where it is please ?

Only a wild guess, could it be Elmswell?
