Check Caora.net for 1901 census head of house hold lists....  a William J Pedan is recorded as living Movilla Street in Newtonwards in 1901.

Are members of your Pedan family any relation to Eliza[beth] Pedin who married William McCalpin in 1845? Her father was James Pedin and she was my great, great, great grandmother? I ask because Marquis Street ap[pears on one of the certifictes I have relating to the family.

Hello Sue it was great to see your reply yes your G G G grandmother Elizabeth  was my Great Grandfathers Aunt.
William John Paden was the son of Robert Paden who was the Brother of Elizabeth and their father was James.

Elizabeth had another 2 brothers that i know of they were Thomas and James
Thomas married Mary Jane Brown on the 14/7/1855
James married Sarah Johnston on the 28/7/1855

Sue do you know who Elizabeth Padens Mother was i only know her father was James Paden and the above about her brothers.  Teap

Brilliant! I'm afraid I don't know who Elizabeths mother was but if I find anything I will let you know.

I was looking through my family history 'box' last night - it's where I keep all the reasearch notes of people who might be 'mine' and I'm sure I came across something that is now ringing bells!

I am going away this weekend so won't have tome to go through the box but at the beginning of next week I should be able to have a look and if I find anything useful, I will let you know.

Regards

Sue
