Hmmm,if they are related Jean I don't think they are direct line. They were still further east at this time in Currie,Ratho and Kirknewton. The first names don't feature much either,it's usually George,John or Peter followed by Alexander and Thomas. And in the females Elizabeth,Margaret and Agnes followed by Janet and Christian.I have them back to 1715 at the moment and no James or Isabella that I can see. Thanks for looking.

George.

Jean, if you have time I would be interested in any Stor(r)i/e(y)s you might come across. Most of them were in Whitburn, but some went to West Calder. Thank you for the kind offer.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Only Strathbrock Chutchyard in Uphall.

You can contact West Lothian County Council for details on lair records in Uphall Cemetery.  Donna.Johnston[at]westlothian.gov.uk (replace [at] with @)  If you have a name and date of death, they can tell you where the grave is and also anyone else interred there. You must know the names and dates.

Hi Jean,
Thank you I have all the names and dates I want to take some photos of the ones you found for me in West Calder and if I can find these others I would do it all in one . My friend in Australia is cock a hoop  that I have been able to find her 3x great grandparents grave for her but to obtain some photos will certainly be the icing on the cake.

Thank you once again for your help much appreciated.

Hi Suzilad

As long as sthey died after 1890 or so you should be able to get the details from West Lothian C.C. They may not have a headstone, but the lair records are intact.

If they died before this or even slightly afterwards they may be in Strathbrock Cemetery. There are no lair records for there, only transcriptions of the headstones. So if they do not have a headstone then there will be no record of them

Regards
Jean
