Hi Dave

Thanks for your comments

I have got to the stage in my tree that I cannot go any further, so it gives me great pleasure to help others.

Best wishes
Jean

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me with a couple of names. Trying to find where my great x 3 grandmother Jane/Jean Craig nee Major was buried. She died in Armadale on December 22nd 1882 aged 40.

Also looking for William McLaren who died in Westrigg/Blackridge on August 14th 1928 aged 69.

And finally George Hamilton who died in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary on January 11th 1936 aged 40. But he lived in Westrigg/Blackridge. My great aunt said she thought he was buried at Woodbank, Armadale. But I've had a few looks down there and haven't had any luck.

Thanks,
Iain :)

I am trying to find the father of William Meek, also William. His widow Isabella Watson is buried at St Michael's, died 10 August 1858. Can't find a death for him, presumably before registration. They were formerly at New Monkland, their family mostly moving to Linlithgow. My brick wall, did he die in NM and she flitted or did both move?

Skoosh.

PS, new info', almost certainly a Linlithgow burial, living at Linlithgow Bridge.

Hi

I was wondering if there is a John Williamson and his wife Georgina Arnot. They married in 1867 and had three children that I have found - James Williamson 1872, Robert Williamson 1871 and Mary McPherson Williamson 1869.

If anyone has information on this family I would love to hear from you.

Hi there
Recently I established a tenuous link to the RIDDELL family from the Armadale / Bathgate area of Scotland and would like if possible to track down any living descendants. I understand this site is not for tracking down living relatives, as such I am hoping to gain some leads from the deaths of two earlier RIDDELLS being Alexander RIDDELL and William RIDDELL who are mentioned on the Armadale History website as having death notices in the local papers.

If possible I would like to know if there is any MI's recorded for the death of Alexander RIDDELL who died on the 21st Sept, 1928 and was a noted Mason (as in Masonic Lodge I think), and William RIDDELL who died on the 18th Jan 1929 who was said to have been well known in mining circles.

If anyone has ready access to the death notices from the local Armadale Gazette or Courier that would also be a great help and very much appreciated. Being in Australia I am unfamiliar with this area of Scotland so hopefully I have posted this message in the right County.

Many thanks and Merry Christmas to all.

Search grave of my great great grandfather Munro Ross in Bathgate
« Reply #98 on: Thursday 27 June 13 21:57 BST (UK) »
Hi I am in search of the grave of my grandgrandparents Munro Ross and Jean Gillespie.
Munro Ross died on September 23, 1845 in Bathgate.
They are buried together and a gravestone with their names.
It will find the cemetery and the grave?

Best Regards
Jaime
