How wonderful!!! What a great result!!

I'm sure we must be close now to getting the same result for our unknown fellow.

I am in contact with Ernest's niece, and hopefully I will be able to post a close-up photo of him.

Here's hoping we can find all of the families! I believe it's possible if we all keep putting our heads together.

Just wanted to let everyone know, so that there is no misunderstanding, the individual photo of the soldier is still a mystery. The newspaper in Bathurst, N.B. made it sound as though it was Ernest, but it was not. His brother identified him in the group shot.

If I get permission from Ernest's niece, I will post the individual photo of him.

Well done Janice! most rewarding to have found some family...also, I had
thought perhaps the crew called him Ernest because there was another
Joseph, but I see he'd used that name previously...
The other thread has been updated with the news!

Welcome Bob!!!! ( I like your real name best....eeek)
When were you in the forces? My father served RCAF, was in
Wellesbourne Mountford No. 22 OTU in June 1944 -
( see remember site link below  )  I surely respect what those fellows
( and ladies) did for us...and that this could well have been my dad....

all the best, & cyber hugs to you all, J.J. ( Better get back to work!)

Good thinking Caroline...I never noticed that...and if it is a photograph of the crew, although it only looks like 3 of them, we would surely appreciate using it here. I know Janice will get on that right away. She's really pumped!  J.J.

Just to update the lineup..Where are we now? Left to right re: photo
  Alllison - unknown - Burke - 3 unknown, correct?
