This string of messages is a few years old so I am hoping someone is still out there  ::)

My ancester Robert Yendel otherwise Brimeger married Ann Turner on 14 May 1783 in either Silverton or Stoke Cannon.  I believe this Robert is my 4 x Great Grandad.  I haven't been able to get beyond this because of the change of name but I was very interested to see Craftycorner had a link to Robert's parents.

If anyone on this  chain of messages is still following this up or has further information I would love to hear from them

Regard Pauline

Hello Pauline.
Thank you for your message. It is some time since I have looked at this element of my tree (my husband's branch).

I will look and see if I can add anything to what you have.

Regards

Debbie

Hi, I thought I have posted a reply yesterday letting you know that I am still researching madly and any information I can give or you may be able to give me would be gratefully received/happily given!   Apologies if there are multiple replies from me but I am not getting any indication that my reply has been sent.

It was good to hear from you both Sandra and Debbie.

Yendell was my maiden name and I researched back to about 1800 or just before and hit this Brimager/Yandell problem and haven't actually looked at it very much for a few years.

There is apparently some information at the Society of Genealogists - they have a Brimager file with some Yandell information in it - wills I believe - so I am hoping to go up there in the next few weeks to have a look.  If I learn anything more then I will let you know.

In the meantime I am happy to share information.  Are you both based in the UK or overseas?

My ancestors appear to have lived mainly in Silverton Devon - apart from a few years when they moved into Somerset but they eventually returned to Silverton.

Regards
Pauline

Hello - I am in the UK.

You can reach me on (*) if that is easier, and it would be for me to send anything I have.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Samuel and Agnis BRIMIDGER are my 6xGGP - through Christopher, Thomasin (or Tamzyn as she appears in some records I have seen, being an old Cornish name), then her son John MELHUISH (1795), William MELLISH (1823) (the surname starts corrupting), Emma MELLUISH (1856), Edgar Ernest WILLIAMS (1887) to my father and finally me.
Any help I can give or any information available will be gratefully received.
Stephen
