galls in broughty ferry,dundee
« on: Thursday 27 October 05 18:46 BST (UK) »
I'm seeking help about the gall family in the lifeboat service in  Broughty Ferry between 1920 and early 1950.
I found out about this on a visit to broughty Ferry three years ago but was unable to pin down any actual connection to my family other than a close resemblance of my Father to all the Gall's pictured in the book "Standing into Danger" by Andrew Jeffrey.

I'm looking for Galls from Broughty Ferry as well. Can you give a first name?
Thanks

hi all  :)

the original post was posted some time ago but in light of the fast approaching
anniversary of the "Mona" disaster you might find this site of some interest
there are a few mentions of Galls in the history section

Many Thanks Sheel41,My Fathers name was William Henderson Gall, and as far as I know he wasn't in the RNLI.He was born in Dundee 1906  and  moved to Stirling, before marrying in 1935.
My G/G/Grandfather James Gall was stated to be a Ships Carpenter it ws for this
