Hi This is weird, I tried a search for the name on the UK census and got the following for 1851

ancestry.co.uk

and this for 1861

ancestry.co.uk

There doesn't seem to be either of those 2 entries coming up.

There is another entry on the 1851 page for a Hannah.

The first letter H is exactly the same script as the first letter in the place name.

There is a Hatfield between Bromyard and Tenbury Wells which is very close to the Hereford/Worcs border and is also near the Shrops border.

These borders may well have been changed considerably over the last 150 yrs.

Incidently the age on the '51 census is 39 and there is only 1 n in Susanah on that entry as well.

That explains why I hadn't found her doing an exact search.

Sorry to butt in at this late stage but could not this place be an enumerator's hearing/spelling of Habberley, which is a small outlying district of Kidderminster in Worcestershire.

Also there is Abberley near Great Witley

Regards
Robert

Have you checked details of the ennumeration district? This should give a description of the route the census ennumertor took. If the exact name on the return isn't clear, at least you should get an idea of some of the surrounding streets, etc.
