Is it St. Lukes Church in Old Street you are interested in?  I went there earlier this year as I have ancestors associated with that church and St Giles in Cripplegate.  I took a few photos of both.  St Lukes is no longer a church as it had a problem with subsidence, it is now used by London Symphony  Orchestra.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Luke_Old_Street

I bought some publications of Monumental Inscriptions from Troon Ayrshire FHS - www.troonayrshirefhs.org.uk covering various areas in Ayrshire.  I found looking through them I found quite a few surnames in my family tree.  You could e-mail them they may be able to let you know if any of their publications are what you are looking for.

Sorry for delay in replying, but I didn't receive a message from Rootschat and I try to only check once a week.

Thanks for taking the trouble to take and photo and post it.  I'm very grateful.

Hello,  the lady at the burial records was VERY helpful.  The lair details are Section M, Lair 280.  However she couldn't tell me if there is a headstone, but there are 4 people in the lair.  In addition to Margaret Ditchburn Graham Shaw there is Richard Masson d 07.03.1892, Emma Masson d 02.05.1891 and John Harvey d 10.12.1919.  Two of these people I know are Maggie's extended family - the other was completely new to me and has given me another line of research!

Good afternoon,

Please could someone see if there is a headstone for Margaret (Maggie) Ditchburn Graham Shaw.  17.12.1903 - 20.08.1907.  She died of measles.  Her parents are buried in Kirkcaldy, but on their headstsone it states Maggie was buried in Cathcart.

Many thanks,   Yvonne

Hi Kathleen,  have you checked on website Memento-mori.co.uk?  It lists a lot of cemeteries in the Glasgow area, including Glasgow Necropolis.  You may be able to find out for certain if he is buried there before spending any money.

Could you let me know if there are any details for Crichton and Penman, who I think were around Cowdenbeath.  They are related, but I haven't found the connection yet.  Also any with surname Pryde.

Hi   Yvonne Cowdendeath people were normally buried in Beath Cemetery.

I do have a number of Crichtons Penmans & Prydes in my index but
require 2 names to check eg Alexander   Penman   Catherine Greig Brown
there are a number of Penmans in Lochgelly Cemetery
and a small number of Prydes

Looking forward to your request

Norrie

Hi Norrie,

Thanks for your reply.  I had hoped there might only be one or maybe two.  I have been told there is a connection but I am still hunting for exactly who the connected people are, as they probably died in mid 1900's.  I will come back when I have exact names.

Many thanks,  Yvonne
