Going out on another limb:

I am looking for anyone researching the Stokes family of London. I have managed to connect with a few very good Stokes researchers over the years and was hoping to find a few more.

My Great-great grandparents died in a tragic house fire in London. There was an inquiry made in the courts about the quality of parrafin lamp oil sold in London due to their deaths.

They were:
Montmorency Durant Stokes (1809-1861) married Maryanne Brandon (1824-1861) Mopntmorency's father was John Stokes.

Montmorency and Maryanne had  eight children:
Arthur
Montmorency Brandon (b. 1846)
Lydia Stokes (b. 1848) married Samuel Hosking
Adelaide (b.1851)
Katherine (b.1852)
Charles William (b. 1853)
Herbert (1856-1899) married Adelaide Regina Bean
Maryanne (b. 1858)

thank you in advance for your help.

Going out on an even farther limb, here.

I am hoping to find someone who has studied the Brandon family in London. They were involved in a flower nursery business (Brandon Estates) on the outskirts of London, which became a long, drawn out settlement of an estate. My line is the following:

Maryanne Brandon (1824-1861) married Montmorenacy Durant Stokes (1809-1861) they died in a tragic house fire in London.
her father: Thomas Rudgely Brandon married Lydia Purvey.
his father: Thomas Brandon (1770-1798) married Agnes Rudgely.
his father: Thomas Brandon (1740-1796) married Mary Crouch (1746-1798)
his father: Richard Brandon married Elizabeth__________.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Going WAY out on a limb. I am looking for anyone who has studied the Harvey / Hervey family back into the 1600s. One line came here to America with Lord Baltemore's colony ion Maryland, and I have yet to find the connection back to the Harvey / Hervey family in England. Thanks in advance for your help.

Dear Mary Ellen-

thank you so much for taking the time to respond. I had a chance to go through evrything and Lockie just doesn't seem to show up. It is Walter Locke (1865-1939) married Sarah Smith. His father was Donald Locke (1839-1895) married Mary Orr (1840-1890). His father was Walter Locke (1817-1887) married Janet MacLean (b. 1816), His father was Thomas Locke married Sarah Smith. As you can see, "Lockie" doesn't fit in it is a direct line of "Locke". Anyway, thank you for looking.
