Hi

Managed to transcribe Pearson's buried at Weaste.

Cemetery is divided into 12 sections Jan-Dec.  Not all areas have been transcribed.

Have included all in graves as some information is not clear.
Included what information was available.

Found some of my relatives hope this helps others.  Original transcription is at Salford Local History Library.  Don't think additions to the graves have been added since first done.

Hope this helps

Have a Merry Christmas

Jean

Hi

I have details and a photo of 1 of the graves at Weaste which contained 2 pearsons, Rachel & Richard.  They are buried with several Barlows.  Their daughter Mary married Samuel  Barlow.

I got the information from the Monumental inscriptions for Weaste which is held in Salford Local History Centre.  They are contained in several books, all the sections have not been transcribed yet.  I used them to find Sandifords, Barlows and the Pearsons were a bonus.

I recently went to photograph some other graves which i had seen only to find that the gravestone had been removed.  There is a lot of subsidence and gravestones are being removed left right and centre.

Thanks Migky for reminding me. Will try to get to Salford Centre and check for other 34 Pearsons!.

Bye

Jean

Hi

Just got your message.  I don't know a lot about my Pearsons
Do you have any more details.  Who was William's father and have you any dates.

I have Richard Pearson 1815 ish who married Rachel Barlow.  They had a son called John(1853) but i do not know who he married but i have a daughter for him called Ann. (1886)

Does it ring any bells

Hi

Thanks for the info.  Never thought to look for burials.  This proves that there were Sale's in Wigan, and Maria was possible sent in disgrace.  I had been told that Hallgate was a very poor area.

Will search for more burials etc on Lancs Online

Thanks

Jean

I am trying to find any Sale's living in Wigan in 1800's.
Maria Sale from Liverpool was in Wigan in 1797 when her daughter was christened at the local church.  She had two children before she married, their fathers were John Birchall and William Hesketh.  I think she married James Taylor in 1800's

I have the details of one daughter but am unable to find  any thing on her daughter born about 1792 father Hesketh.  Any ideas where to look next.

Any help appreciated

Jean
