Many thanks to all contributing to this thread, it has filled several spaces in my PAF file.
I never knew Nellie was short for Helen, but my sister Helen reluctantly confirms it!
The cemetery records are great and mostly confirm my aunt Daisy's notes, though the dates are off by a couple of days.
Some inconsistencies I need to look at though:

The children of Robert Thompson and Mary J Kerr.
The Cemetery has Christina - died at 7 weeks. Aunt Daisy has the name as Christiasian, an odd name for sure but Daisy was quite a meticulous person. If it was indeed Christina that clashes with the Christina who married Arthur Kerr.

Of the three Roberts, who is Mary Jane's husband? - because i have him as born 1855 and died 4th March 1895.

My head is spinning!!

Many thanks to you all.

I got a bit confused - I meant to say Christina (not Hart) may have been the sister of Mary McElhinney.

"Sept 1896 James H. Thompson married Nellie H. S. McCay in Great James Street Presbyterian Church, Londonderry City"
Just wondering about the first name "Nellie". In the census records she is J. Helen Stevens, and Daisy's notes show her as Juneta.

Can we draw any conclusions from " Mary M'Elhinney, Spinster the Curatrix of Minor Grandchildren? I suppose Mary was a sister of Christina.

As for Robert Thompson and Mary Jane Kerr, attached is the handwritten note by Aunt Daisy (Thompson).

I am seeking information on the ancestors of my Grandma and Granda.

Juneta Helen Stevens McCay, born abt 1873, died 4 Jun 1918.
Married James Hart Thompson 1897.
There is some anectdotal evidence that her father was captain of the sailing ship Annie Wark which foundered in a storm off Leghorn (Livorno) but I can find no such ship in the records.

James hart Thompson b.1871 d.1961, Presbyterian. From hand-written records by daughter Daisy, his parents were Robert Thompson b.abt 1885 d.4Mar1895 and Mary Jane Kerr b.10Oct1850 d.30Jul1886.

There is a Hart Kerr and Christine McElhinney, but I am not sure where they fit in. Hart could have been Mary Jane's sister.

Forgot to mention:  I have a copy of Thomas and Lelita's marriage cert (from Summerhill).
Thomas's father was George Cummings, and Lelita's was Samuel Miller, both Thomas and George were labourers, so Thomas was not a son of George and Elizabeth.

I'm trying to fill in some gaps in my PAF files and wonder if anyone has any info.

1. Unlinked: Thomas Cummings and Lelita Miller, married 14Sep1854.
George Cummings and Elizabeth Taylor had James, Mary and David.
Might they also have had a son Thomas?

2. Anne Elizabeth Cummings - daughters Maureen and Margaret, birth dates?

3. Elizabeth McDermott (who married James Cummings), birth date?

4. Beatrice Mary Ellison, birth date?

5. Did James Cummings really have two sons named James (James Alexander and James Albert), albeit they were with different marriages.

Any info on running PAF on Linux would be appreciated. I am struggling with PAF Companion printing to pdf file.

Personal Ancestory File seems to work OK under WINE,
PAF Companion works OK too but I can't print reports. When I click on Preview it comes up with "File not found".
It seems to be something to do with Progeny PDF Printer.
I am using Mint Linux 14 (Ubuntu/Debian).
Any ideas?

Yes I have posted on the PAF forum too.

Hi Gortinanima, thanks for that, I was not aware that family trees were banned. I suppose it is a privacy issue.
Your Cummings info has kept me busy entering it into PAF.

Thank you for the info Gortinanima. It looks as if he is the same James - I previously had doubts about him judging from inconsistencies between the 1901 and 1911 censuses such as his age. Beatrice was said to be English or American. Mae says daughter Sarah went to the usa.
I've attached Mae's family tree and PAF 'Book' of James Cummings (not yet edited with your information).
