Warwickshire / Birmingham Electoral Roll Look Up
« on: Monday 07 February 11 20:33 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,

Would anyone be able to do a look up in the electoral roll for 1960 in the Handsworth area of Birmingham.
I am unable to get to Birmingham Central Library at the moment to carry this out myself.

I have a letter dated 5-01-1966 with the address of
72 Maxwell Avenue
Handsworth
Birmingham

The occupants are both long dead and they only signed their names as Auntie Jane and Uncle Jack :)
Knowing their surname would really boost me along on finding their marriage etc.

Jane is one of my "Sayer Girls" from Chelmsford that I am tracking down.
Amazing how the style of letter writing has changed in the last 50 years..............he starts the letter "My dear Nephew and Niece"

Hi,
I have a Charles Frederick Boxall, born ? death: 1934 who lossely wanders into my line in South Africa.
I couldn't tell you what put as I only came accross them while looking for my lot  ;)

If the name helps you, shout as I have bits more with that family.

The real boxall I would like to know about is Mary Boxall from Frensham, born about 1744 ish and marrys William West.

Any guidance??

I have not been able to find Sally west at all, either being born or dying :'( , I have found families for all members.
The entry for John son of James and Sarah is incorrect.

Slight update here on the Cayton family.

Last known fixed address was 5th Avenue, Bezuidenhout Valley, Johannesburg, that was in 1924.

They then went to stay with Ronald Cayton parents in Durban.
