Hi, thanks for the reply. I'm glad you got lucky and your search was successful. I've known my great great grandad was buried in that cemetery for a few years, but hadn't looked because i had no idea where in it he was, or if he even had a headstone. Then i suddenly found findagrave.com had been updated with a photo, i thought my luck was in. So i went this morning to look for it. Very frustrating. I just wish there was a record of plots somewhere. I only live a few miles away so at least i didn't travel far. Ah well. Hopefully I'll get lucky next time. Yes, will try Bereavement services again. Thank you.
Regards.

Hello, i appreciate this is a very old subject, but wonder how you got on with your search in the Castleford Old Cemetery? My GGGrandfather is buried there, plot 3819W. There is also a photo of the grave on Findagrave.com. I visited the old cemetery today to look for it but could not find it, and can't find any way of getting a plot map. I contacted Bereavement services a few years ago, but got no response. So wonder of you managed to find the grave you were looking for?
Thank you

Hi Chrissey, do you know the name of the parents of your William Campbell.

My campbell family lived in Bridgeton around that time

Hi Hepburn, thanks for your very quick reply :)

Yes, these people look like they might know something...thank you very much. census records from my Bonds are also from Greenhill Lane.
Regarding the female Isaac Bond.... ;D yes, i presume that is a mistake, otherwise i might have to restart my family tree ;D

ps Jane Hendry's parents were called James Hendry(1859) and Martha McLaughlin(1861). They too were both born in Ireland.

I am looking for information about William Campbell (b1855 in Ireland). He married Mary-Ann McGlashan (b1857 also Ireland). They married in Glasgow 29/9/1876.

Williams parents were called Robert and Jane,
Mary-Ann's parents were called William and Elizabeth.

Willliam and Mary-Ann had 6 children, my descendant Robert was born in 1877.

They lived in the Bridgton area of Glasgow on Baltic Street(1891 census)

Robert Campbell(their son) married Jane Hendry in 1904. They lived on Mordaunt Street Glasgow.

It would be nice to hear from any other descendants of William and Mary-Ann, and of course any further information regarding the Campbells.

Derbyshire / Isaac Bond baptised 26/4/1803 in Alfreton

Hi, i am new to rootschat.
I am looking for any information about my descendent Isaac Bond born in Alfreton and baptised 26/4/1803. His father was Abraham, but i am confused as to whether Abraham married Hannah Swain or a Sarah Bennett. There was an Abraham Bond marry a Hannah Swain in Crich Debysire in 1783 and an Abraham Bond marry a Sarah Bennett in Crich Derbyshire in 1784. One of these is the Abraham i am looking for.
Once that is solved i'd love to go even further back.
Isaac had 5 children i am aware of, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Jane and Henry. Jacob is my descendant and was born 1835.
I'd be happy for any details. many thanks
