Dave apologies for the bitty nature of the info but I am trawling through loads of old papers etc and trying to get them organised. I have located an old postcard from the IOM, and would suggest from the pictures of the vehicles on the card it is probably mid-1960's.

I do not know who it is from or to whom it was sent, it just has the following info on the back (which is poorly written so I will try my best )

E.N Sansbury     Ballakneale Ave, Port Erin
R.D Sansbury     3 Victoria Road, Castletown
R.H Sansbury     23 Seafield Ave, ST Mary Port

The writer has then put a note at the bottom stating that he/she obtained the details from the telephone directory whilst on holiday in the IOM.

Dont know if it ties in with anything you already have !

If you want I can scan the postcard in and e-mail it to you.

Regards

Just a quickie...I have been looking through some old letters from an Aunt who was interested in the family history and she located a Phillip Sansbury who was a police officer in the 1907 Street Directory, he was listed as living at 81 Hood Street, Liverpool. No middle name I am afraid, but I thought it is likely to be your Phillip Archibald Sansbury.

I am just starting out researching the family name and know from anecdotal evidence that we have some links with the IOM. There are still numerous Sansbury's living in the Liverpool and Lancashire areas ( of which I am one )and I know that several relatives are buried in West Derby Cemetery. I have some info regarding family who moved from the IOM in the late 1800's but don't know if that will help you with your research for such a recent date (1960's).
