I was pleased to receive your' message. My daughter, Victoria, actually set up my message. I'm more the steam era and don't find computers that easy. Anyway, as she is back in Sydney with her family, I'm having a go!
You were right about our contact with Connie Pendle. My late mother, Constance, kept in touch and when my wife, Joy, and I visited the U.K. in 1992, we met Connie and also the Brices and Yvonne Hamblin ( nee Pendle). Cousins I never knew I had.
Connie informed me that my Grandmother, Lily Rose, had been the "black sheep" of the family, much to everyone's amusement. Although she was well respected in Newcastle N.S.W., where we lived at that time, as she aged some of her stories changed and I had suspected a skeleton in the closet.
More of that next time. I look forward to hearing from you.
