many thanks for your help,i have searched every angle for 35 yrs .have about 30 certificates ..birth  death mariages, ialso knew as a child all of them.all alberts children have passed on.iam 81 and i have done this without help ,from others in Hull. i can no longer go to hull searching ,housebound now so you have given me alift up.albert and lilias had 10 children.he was a2nd engineer on trawlers,shipwrecked in1903.was never able to work again.ashamed he was German,a big secret,all inf o they had was burned by my english grandma,she was persecuted by policeafter grandad albert died.all because she married the man she loved.i have written to Breman seamans list archives they have passed my request on.iam still waiting. Albert  laverack was born in Germany, and step sister i am positive.albert was illigitimate.came to u.k. ababy in marias arms.(so the story goes)Albert and Lilias did live in Crowther buildings after they married.i really want the place in germany  and Russia. where they were born,

LANDGIRL.would some one look up1891census for sculcoats ,george place.dock st.
 FRED MILLER (HEAD)age 48. b/russia .seaman
maria miller.wife age 42,born/Germany.dressmaker from home.
 albert.aged 14 Marias son, surname un readable maybe Ludwig maria's maiden name, ancestry say LADERAL,nothing like it.
 Louisa unreadable as above. aged11.true daughter of fred and Maria
1901 census. maria had changed her name to MARY LAVERACK. living in
Welton TERrace.Wassand str. Hessle rd also a fred miller lodged there .by then was married.his name was laverack Albert was my grandad.my maiden name was Laverack. seems lik gt grandad had vanished,fred the lodger was 31 a british subject reg,searched over 30 yrs to find this enigma.MARIA ,was buried in hullas Mary miller. in 1922 eastern cemetery LANDGIRL

hi. i have  my immigrant.gtparents ,have search over 30 yrs.but i am stuck to find ,birth towns .1891 census;fred Miller b/1843 Russia.seaman.Maria miller
b/ 1848,dressmaker. & son Albert b/1877.illegitimate.daughter louisa ,,CANT READdetails.B1889 both children says b/iin Hull.which is their home.and i was born there, i thought Maria b/GErmany maiden  name Ludwig or ladwig nothing found on the family.i went to 1901 census found gt grandma as a widow,but boarded another Fred miller, gt grans . name Mary laverack,young
AlBert was my grandad, i knew him as ALBERT. LAVERACK. MY MAIDEN name
was Laverack.gtgran was buried in Hull in1922,( a pauper) ifound her grave.waiting for seamans record in Bremen of Fred miller .nothing yet,PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP Me?found them through Ancestry.com.could not believe it.     Landgirl.( 81 yrs old)

 i have just found my gtgrand parents.after34 yrs,firstly ancester com1891 census, living in HULL.;fred miller born/1843. seaman born in Russia.Maria Miller born/1848.Germany.albert??/surname i can't decipher,born/1877.Louisa .b/1888 same surname as Albert. says born Hull.cant find them.i think they were b/Germany.none of the family knew about  Lousa. on1901.MARY is buried in hull.i have visted her grave.it was a paupers grave.6 others in it.all the birthdays are correct.i knew my grandad Albert well .but never knew he had a sister Louisa. nor did any relatives.the  Germans seamens records at Bremen.under seeleuterregister des bremerWasserchouts 1837-1873.Just hope someone can offer help to find.where albert and Louisa where born.ihave emailed Bremen.to find were gt grandparents where born.

It's possible that he was enumerated in 1891 but no guarantee.  Assuming that his vessel was enumerated then it would have been at the port in which the vessel was docked or next arrived after the cenus date see:

after 35 yrs have my gtgrand parents on1891 census on ancestry.com Hullyorks not found any where else. the two children  are surname LEDARY,one is my grandad Albert Laverack GT grand ma From Germany, GT gandad from Russia they were living in Sculcoats.at 5 Georges place Dock st Hull.does any recognise  surname LEDARBY??

I need help to find records in w.war2.my grandma was married to a German immigrant.one Albert Muller .he died in 1936 and grandma went to Thorne doncaster to live for the rest of the war ,then came back to Hull.she was a registered alien ,where cani find her records. the police used to visit her ,so there must be something some where.have tr.ied n. archives.but i always get it wrong. her name was Lilias Laverack (name change years ago)she was born 1876 granda1877.i have been searching 24 yrs. no luck. i need to find where grandad was born in Prussia.he was not interned in1914.
