Hello All,

My great Grandfather was a Frederick TIlley who married a Rachael Hynam...they had a daughter named Eliza MAry (Polly) Tilley JAckson...who married a Samuel JAckson and lived in Caerphilly.  I think that Frederick Tilley and Rachael Hynam were from the Sommerset area....but I have hit a brick wall and cannot trace any further back than that....I would love more info on either Frederick Tilley or Rachel Hynam....

Frederick  was born at Commerton- nr Bath Sommerset.  Rachael Hynam was born at Bishop Sutton- nr Pensford Sommerset.  They were married at Bedminster Old Church - Bristol. Eliza was born MAy 16th 1870 and died October 1st 1923.)

These names and places were in my grandmother's old bible...but I have not found any matches on searches or places where I could request records....
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated,
Jessica

Dear all,
I have hit a brick wall and I need help!!  I am the great, great, granddaughter of William BAteman Reed of Clifton, Bristol.  He was a builder and hotel Proprietor in Clifton, Bristol.  He was llisted as residing in Albert Lodge in 1841 and then built the Queen's hotel ( now a Habitat store) on Queen's road and lived across the street in The Queen's Villa until his death in 1880.  On his oath of a Burgess(1838) it gives his father's name as Thomas Reed, Cabinet Maker.  I know that Thomas was married to a MAtilda Bateman.  That is all I can find.  I would very dearly like to trace farther back and find any info on THomas Reed...who was his father and grandfather.  In addition, I would like to find a Birth Certificate for William BAteman, or parish records for any other Christenings of Thomas and MAtilda. If you could provide any information, or links that I might try for research I would be greatly appreciative.  Thank you

Hello, I am an ancestor of William Trickett thru his son John Trickett Jackson, his grandson Samuel JAckson, his great grandson Horace JAckson, to my grandmother who was Pauline Jackson Silagy.  I would love to be in touch with anyone who may have any information on this family, how William Trickett left for Austrailia, ( or did he die in a barn as one newspaper article suggests)  How the Trikett sons came to be adopted by the JAckson Family...were there any daughters, etc.  If you can please add anything to this information, I would be extremely grateful.

O.K.  I am new to this.... and this maybe a goosechase...but here goes....

My Great, Great, Great grandfather was William Bateman Reed.....  he had a son named Ralph Newbury Reed, who had a daughter named Blanche Jessica Reed....who eventually leads to me several more generations later...  I know he had married a Mary Dodgeson....or Mary Dodgeson was his mother....not sure there....  I heard he was a builder/Architect in Bristol and that he was given the key to the city for something.... I don't know if he actually lived in Bristol, or that was just where the hotels were located that he built.

that's really all I know....can anyone fill in any blanks?  And anyone relatives now????/

Hello All,

I am so glad to find this link!!!  I know that the Children of William Tricket, well specifically John Trickett, settled in Caerfilly, SOuth Wales,  the children were adopted by a family named Jackson's,  the story of William Trickett being sent to Australia is also in my family, so we have just assumed this is why the children were raised by the Jackson Family.  However, I have a gap in my search from William Tricket, son John Tricket....to Samuel Jackson who was the father of Earnest and Horace and Jackson.  Horace (David) Jackson married Blanche Jessica Reed Jackson and had 5 children, one of whom is my Grandmother, Pauline Jackson Silagy.
Jan and MAlco....I would be so interested in finding out who you are...in the family tree and how we are related!!!!  I know my grandmother's cousin, one of the daughter's of Earnest, is still living in Caerphilly with her daughters and granddaughters still living also!  I have planned a trip to find family to Wales over St. David's day weekend!!!
I am new to this site....is there a way to contact you directly or privately to exchange emails????
Jan are you one of the other daughters from the Jackson clan working with Kay????
Really hope to hear from you soon,
J
