HI

Thanks for the response and I'm really sorry for the time it's taken me to reply.  Do you have any idea why she would be living with William and Janet?  Is one of them some how related to her?

Thanks
Heather

Hello

this is an extract from the 1851 Census for Barrachine, Shettleston, Lanarkshire.

Can anyone  read the name of Birth places for these entries?

Thanks

Hello

I can't remember if I posted this already, I've been looking into it for well over a year now.

I have the 1881 and 1891 Census for William and Janet Orr (ms Gourlay), listed in the 1881 Census is Anndelina Findlay Howatson (though that's not how it's spelled) she is 11 months and listed as a "Visitor"

On the 1891 Census she is still with Will & Janet but this time she is described as their adopted daughter.

I finally found her birth cert she was born 1 Apr 1880 to Elizabeth Howatson (dressmaker) there is no father listed and she registered the birth.

I can't find any trace of Anndelina on 1901 or 1911 Census although it's possible she got married I can't find a marriage either.

I can find no trace of Mum Elizabeth either; any ideas?

Thanks
Heather

Hello
I'm looking for any information on the above couple who were married in Perth 10 Mar 1803.
According to the Marriage Banns Christian is the daughter of Daniel Harris.

I know from IGI that they had 4 Sons:

If anyone has this family in their tree I would be delighted to hear from you  :D

Thanks

Thank you all for your help  :D  Especially for the newspaper clipping.  There is no registerri of corrected entry, well not online anyway although there's a note in the far left column it doesn't reference an RCE.
I will try to get it sent to me I guess there must have been an inquest.

Thanks again  :D
