Thank you all for your fast replies & link, I’ve never heard of that test before.  No wonder he sadly passed 23 days later.

Thank you  :) I didn't think about the GRO.  I've not fully researched everyone yet.  Laura was definitely one of the 5 though as she was living with Mary in 1911.  Confirmed deceased so far are Louisa in 1848
Robert in 1859
Edward William in 1902
John Grice in 1858
Charles Grice 1907.
I've never come across some one having 20 children before, the most before this was 14

That's great thank you, we are up to 14 now.  Are these available online anywhere or is it a CD?

Thank you Rosie.  I've found
Lucy 1844
Robert 1848
William 1850
Louisa 1850
Sarah 1852
Edward William 1854
Charlotte 1855
Laura 1856
John Grice 1857
Charles Grice 1859
Elizabeth 1863

Sadly by 1911 15 of Mary's children had died.  I did try looking on the Otley baptisms on Find My Past as well as the non comformists but I couldn't find any of them

I was wondering if anyone could see if there are any Wilson baptisms in Otley please?  My ancestors William & Mary had 20 children but I've only managed to find 11 of them from the census', all of which were born in Otley.

Many thanks
Joanne

Thanks that would make more sense date wise.  Didn't realise a pension was classed as a special instance

Armed Forces / WW1 record prisoner of war?
« on: Friday 19 May 17 16:03 BST (UK)  »
I've attached my great grandfathers WW1 record.  Could anybody tell me in the 'Special Instances' section if it faintly says he was a prisoner from 10/10/19 - 15/4/19 please?  Even though at the top it says he was home by 1918

Many thanks in advance
