Caw, we used to love Lyme Regis, went there often. When I was a child it was the Fossil connection, but it's a fascinating place.
I'm not keen on Hallowe'en at all. Refuse to hide away, though. On 5th November I can be found with the cats in a quiet well-curtained room, don't like that, either.
And because of health issues etc. no Christmas tree etc. this year - all my wonderful collection of glass baubles, dating back over 100 years, will stay dustily in the loft, probably not come out again until.....
Ah well.

Keep those feet up, and look at the cartoons and crosswords, Viktoria. The news is too depressing for anyone.

Our local newsagent went to one of those big delivery firms - it seemed as if it'd cost and arm and a leg, so I cancelled all papers except 2 local ones, and my Radio Times is already on a very reliable postal delivery.
I stroll up to the village on Friday, collect and pay for the two papers. Works fine.

Somehow, someone I'd spotted a few years back as a redacted record on the '39 had become open, last time I looked, on Ancestry. Perhaps they do a periodic update?

Oh, how I wish Viktoria would listen to the advice we all are offering her! As several of us have had similar procedures, we seem all to have been given more and better advice, and those responsible for us, given a lot more guidance than she and hers seem to have had.
Anyway, at least it's not pouring down today! I've just emerged more or less triumphant from a big bout of ironing, whew! Glad that's all done.

Quentin Crisp stated that the dust didn't get any deeper after 4 years, Viktoria, so you can safely leave it until your specialist says you can bomb round as normal. We're mostly worried because you're not really giving yourself a chance to adapt. And, sorry - but with 3 sons, don't care how many computer meetings, one of them could organise a cleaner, even if they can't do it for you!
REST ! Relax!

Unless you want to make yourself ill again, Viktoria, PLEASE take it a whole lot easier than you are doing! Gillg, myself and others, KNOW how important these first few weeks are!!
Make your family pamper you, for a change! You really should encourage your sons etc to organise domestic help and support for you, if they can't / won't do it themselves, for a few more weeks, if they want to see you recover fully.
Sorry, but YOU should be the important one at this point!

Oh, Viktoria - making beds, all those other chores!!!
You simply CAN'T take it easy, can you?
Please try! Perhaps one son could organise a cleaner / help round the house, for you - at least for a month or two?

I quite enjoy tracing allied lines, but can't get out and about as much as I'd like, for family reasons, now, so am fairly stuck to online. Just "Ancestry" is so expensive!
