Hi Beckyjl, Yes base born is illegitimate. You say Frederick married eliza in 1869? I may be wrong but Frederick shows that he was born 1871 and Eliza in 1872.
John did marry Mary hill in 1723.

Hi Beckyjl, you say that fred died in ww1. Do you have any further details about him and eliza. Date of birth etc.. Who were there parents. I do have lots of details about the Chilcotts in Somerset. We have been looking at the chilcott family for a long time trying to work it out. We have spoken to a few Chilcott's but not got far as they do not seem interested.
Thank you

Hi To all of you out there. We are trying to find out where  the Chilcott's originated from. We know they where in the norwich area but did they or any of them come from any other parts of the country.
My partner Rose Chilcott's family tree shows that there were Travellers and Hawkers etc.  during the 1800's and probilly before that in Somerset and Dorset, plus a few other places. The question is is there a link. Other names linked to them are Grey, Smith, Lovell, Cole etc..
We have seen george Barrows blog and gypsy jib thanks.
What do you think?

Hi Bartman, I would be interested in what you know. I am already in contact with Oldwrinkle via email. Carl as you call him was my fathers brother.

Hi Oldwrinkle  We are related. Carl Franz (Charlie) was my fathers brother. I have a family tree which goes back to 1810.
