Thanks David & Max.

An ex Canadian military chap on another forum reckons it's American.

Not the answers I was hoping for as it was always rumoured he was Canadian.

Is anybody able to identify the uniform worn by this chap in WW2.

It may be Canadian.

Canada Lookup Request / Re: Joseph Psenak WW2

Thanks Sandra,
I already knew about the burial in Galt, Ontario but can't seem to get a burial date or any other info without paying the Ontario Gen. Society a ridiculous amount for the cemetery transcript.

Canada Lookup Request / Joseph Psenak WW2

My wife's birth father who she never knew was a Canadian soldier called Joseph Senak. He passed through Newhaven, Sussex in 1944 where my wife's mother met him. His regiment no. was D137699 & he was a lance corporal. Does this number help identify where he was & what he or his regiment did during WW2.  I assume he went over to France in 1944.

Many thanks for any advice

Brian

Sussex / Amelia Alice Wilkins
« on: Wednesday 26 March 14 19:19 GMT (UK)  »
I'm wondering if anyone has access to Hailsham district marriage registers.
I'm looking to identify the father of Amelia Alice Wilkins who married a Bob Booth in 1929.
Her death is registered in Eastbourne 1995 & shows a d.o.b of 16 Dec 1909 but I can't trace her birth in the records.

Whipby,

This was my mother's shorthand which she would have learnt in the 1940's/50's
