As an fyi the 1901 Census for Ireland is now all on-line.

Previously just the 1911 census was there but the 1901 was added and went live last week.

This is an instant response :

My mother is a Heavey from Athenry, Co Galway. The name Thomas is prominent throughout that Heavey family. A Thomas Heavey married Margaret Hynes, but that would be in the 1860s.

The majority of Heaveys seem to be from the Kiltoom area of Co Roscommon.

The last response was correct. Killooaun would be the area you are probably looking for

The family de Stacpoole owned the Mount Hazel house and estate. They were members of the landed gentry and all were members of the British Armed forces.
