Yes that's my Tree on Ancestry, But my subscription has expired. Also the tree is no way near 100 right. The line from Edith Potter to Lazarus is fine but from there I am still refining it.
Edith Richards was my GGrandma and Lazarus was her grandfather she told me that he was married to a Mary Seward, I think in the marriage records there is a record of their union, but I will need to double check

Interesting information,
Lazarus Potter, came to Australia in 1855 on the ship the "caroline", but what is interesting is that in the Biographical entries for South Australia that he has a 1st marriage to a Mary Baker nee Eveers who died in 1888. Is this the lady that you mean because I have so far not found any information on her, I know that Lazarus had 3 children in his 1st marriage WALTER, ALICE and ? , This is the line that I am meant to descend from so it is all really helpful.
Can you share any sources about Mary , thank you ::)

Hi Ruth, I know he did seem to tell a couple of porkies, I found those stories on the NLA trove site too.
I would like it if Elizabeth Potter really did work for Queen Victoria but at the moment I don't think she did but who knows more digging i guess.
Anyway it may interest you to know that Lazarus Great Grand daughter only passed away last year aged 102, she was my great grandma, Thankyou for your website link.

I think it would be about right. Cambridgeshires CAMDEX online records have him being born 5th July 1839 died 27 July 1936 which means he was more like 97 when he died, Yes I have a copy of the Headstone at Bordertowm Cemetery

Thank you, especially for the news paper article I have one from an adelaide paper. From what I researched Lazarus was born in 1837 to Elizabeth Potter and William Martin in Cambridgeshire, I have a copy of the extract and everyone assumes that Joseph and Hannah are his parents based on the censes. His age quoted in the newspaper stories do appear to be wrong based on the birth record.

Walter Potter had 3 children in his 1st marriage, Edwin Leslie, Mary Adelaine and Edith Annie. I think he had a sister Alice but I am certain that their was at least 1 more. This is where I get really stuck Trying to find out more on Walter.

I am looking for any information on the Potter family in particular Walter Potter, His father was Lazarus, He was born about 1865. His 1st marriage was in 1891 to Constance Butterfield and they had 3 children. In 1910 he remarried Beryl May Dowdell.
I would like to find his mother name and if he had any siblings and the children he had in his 2nd marriage.

Hi, the only thing I found was on a birth record that listed his father as William Martin occ. groom. I am descended from Lazarus' son Walter Potter where do you fit in?

Thank you to everyone. I love everyone work. The photos I've been posting used to hang in my great grandma's house and before she died I took photo's of them thankfully, because when she died another family member took them all. So thank you everyone in allowing me to have my own beautifully restored copies.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
