Huntingdonshire Lookup Requests / Re: Coles Obituary

Rosie,
Thanks for your response.
William Jnr in 1861 is the third William, the grandson of William who married in1792.
This is a cheap one place study for Yaxley and i am working from PR's on CD.
As mentioned earlier the dates for William baptised 1797 just don't match.
May remain one that just has no resolution.
Eric

The family were generally in or around Yaxley so the St Neots deaths will need to be re-checked.
William Snr and Mary Dobbs had three children,Elizabeth 1791,Daniel 1795 and William Jnr 1797.I had taken '41,'51 and '61 census  as William Jnr living in Yaxley even though ages seemed all wrong. In 1861 his occupation is Military Pensioner then crossed out and ag lab added.POB shown as Washingley.
Genuki shows no chapel there and indicates Caldecote and Folksworth as parishes of choice though other baptisms (different people)are found  at Lutton and Elton..
The only information for William Snr is the marriage in 1792.
I find it a bit odd that the death of a 90 year old was not newsworthy, different times,i guess.

Thanks for your assistance.
I thought this was my 4xgreatgrandfather but dates do not add up.
My William married Mary Dobbs in Elton,Huntingdonshire on 10 Jan 1792 but GRO death age would mean he was 8 when married.
Will do some more checking and continue here.

Folks,
Posting in the hope no one will be offended.
I have William Coles buried at Yaxley on 14 March 1874,GRO shows his age as 90,and there doesn't appear to be a will.
Would appreciate a newspaper lookup for an obit.
TIA
Eric
