from a NZ source:
On March 17 1913, Duncan and Elizabeth Jackson(Gibson) landed in new Zealand from Glasgow together with younger sister Isabella and settled in Otago. In about 1924, William Gibson and his wife Annie, daughter Betty set out for New Zealand together with the mother, Mrs Elizabeth Gibson who would be about 70 years at the time.  Bill settled in the Omaru are where most of his family still live. Granny Gibson died 7 June 1938 aged 84 years.

Hello

My grandfather farmed Whitemoss fram from 1924? to 1981

Castlehill cottage was 2 cottages on a hill above Whitemoss farm.  The cottages had no electricity nor water (water from a well 200 yards away).  The cottages are now in ruins.  My cousins and I played there in the 60s.

The cottages had a wonderful view of the Clyde and Ben Lomond to the North.

Regards

Kath Taylor
