Here is a photo of Ann Street 1857-1920. You appear to be a 3rd cousin to David Jones of Willington Cheshire whom I'm building a tree for.  Ann is his Great Grandmother.

I have some information on Ann STREET 1857-1920, she married Samuel Emlyn Jones. They had six children. She ran the Willington Post Office, Kelsall, Cheshire in 1911 and died in 1920. She is buried at St Philip's Church, Kelsall, Cheshire. I should have more for you if you are keen.

Ireland / Re: Family Search BMDs - problem
« on: Friday 06 August 10 12:03 BST (UK)  »
Thanks Dara and Shane. What ever the reason as long as we are aware of these limitations and the data is not misleading then we can't complain, after all it is free.  If I get a reply to my feedback I will post it here.  If I don't get a reply I'll report the problem at the LDS library next time I'm there - they have a 'hotline' to the experts.

David

PS
I was unable to find the answer at the London LDS library, however they have most of the original returns: Births 1864-1913, 1930-1955 Marriages 1845-1870 and Deaths 1864-1870 on film.

Thanks. I was looking to find unknown spouses by matching volume page etc. While I did find some, I noticed that known persons were not turning up when both name fields were blank.

I find it hard to believe this is an upper limit error when there is no error message on blank names - unless the programmer forgot to put one in.

I have reported this problem on the feedback form.

It is curious, if I search for David Angland's marriage in 1911 Cork, Ireland exact match only using Angland the record is there and if I search for only David he is there. However if I leave both name fields blank, shouldn't I get all marriages? I get many but David Angland is not one of them.

Thanks Shane, yes Buckley is so common in Ireland and in South East London in the 1800s.

I emailed two London churches looking for Johanna maiden name over a month ago, there was no reply. I wrote to both again by post including an SAE, there has been no reply.

Thanks aghadowey, this is why I'm asking, there is no civil English registration for the 2 children so there is no maiden name. There is no county on the 1851, 1861 or 1871 census. The religion will be R. C. so I could look for baptisms in the Bermondsey area but it would not be a simple task.

Ireland / Timothy Buckley about 1821
« on: Friday 26 March 10 13:35 GMT (UK)  »
Timothy Buckley and Johanna Regan were married in Ireland had 4 children born in Ireland
Thomas about 1844
Robert about 1847
Patrick about 1848 – my second great grandfather
Denis (Denny) about 1850
Two more children were born in London
John born Bermondsey 1853 – no record of civil registration
Timothy born Bermondsey 1857-61 – no record of civil registration

Timothy and Johanna can be seen in the 1851 English census at 8 Bear Yard.

I have been unable to find any on-line Irish records as to their marriage or to the birth of their first 4 children or siblings of Timothy.

I’d like to find the county they came from in 1850. Can anyone help?

Thank you. David
