Roscommon / Re: Elizabeth Williams nee Flannagan

Apology for my confusion. I had information of the Flanagans from a stranger and found it months later tried to  make contact and was unsuccessful.

I only know that your correct about all the information you have shown 1851 and 1852 details and I never did have a marriage certificate.

I am not doing very well today found in my notes should have mentioned
Michael Flanagan, his wife Ann, and daughters Elizabeth, Catherine and Helena Annie who lived on Stafford St., Wolverhampton in 1871. Michael was a mattress maker, born in Rosscommon, Ireland about 1833.

It is the Elizabeth Williams nee Flanagan I am interested in.

many thanks

All I know about my Great Grandmother is:-

Elizabeth Williams was born in Wolverhampton. She was the daughter of Elizabeth Williams (nee Flanagan) and William Williams.

Elizabeth Flanagan Williams was the daughter of Michael Flanagan who came to Birmingham in the 1840's from Roscommon, Ireland and was a mattress maker/upholsterer. He married Ann Latham and had three daughters.

I know nothing about William Williams.

If anyone can help with any extra information about Elizabeth Flanagan and Michael Flanagan  it would be great.

Many thanks for any further details.

Mayo / Re: William or Willian Rodgers or Rogers married to Anne Murphy

Hi,

thanks for looking considering my awful lack of information we think that is the correct  Anne Murphy by the dates and only one born in Co  Mayo

It may be that William or Willian was born in Co Mayo who married A Murphy but we do not know his parents who may have originated from Huddersfield.

Its pretty hopeless anyway thanks so much for your work.  :)

Hi,

yes linked to those sites, since then we have found relatives and more information from America.

Again through another kind lady on this site. You know relatives leaving Eire and making a new life elsewhere and the eventual information was unbelievable and they provided photographs. Not much on later generations though as Irish information became scarce for one reason or another.

They now have supposed to have originated in Huddersfield working for the gentry ie the Knox family(who themselves owned land in both England and Eire). Then moved to Eire.

We think William or willian was originally in England and moved to Eire his son Thomas was born in Co Mayo around 1836 or1839.

This is all very sceptical as it may have been Willian or Williams father that was in England and our lack of information is awful but you never know so we try.

Again thanks for trying to help and I do understand with more information its easier but you people find fantastic things in your research and if nothing is found at least we tried.

all the best

Hi,

thanks for trying to help and apology for lack of information the town is supposed to be Huddersfield they had a son Thomas who was born in co Mayo Eire so we think these people eventually moved to Eire.

Thomas was born around 1836-1839 in Eire

so my dates may be for willian or william search should be 1800s

I am trying this on a really sceptical basis as I did previously and have now found people leaving Mayo for America and  relatives only through a very kind lady on this site who remembered helping some one in U S A .

All the best
