Under BDM for nsw there is Leonard John. Married Elizabeth J. nee Smith in 1888 at Narrabri

Registration 6352/1888

her death shows her in 1936 age at  72 name elizabeth Josephine. fathers name Smith. at Narrabri

I think these are the Leonard's you are looking for it appears they lived in Narrabri for quite some time so they should be recorded . sorry can't be of more help  Chuter

need help ,  Ellen. Julia. Handford.  married my grandfather Arthur. Holland. on the 21 jul 1909 St George Altrincham Cheshire England
he came out to Australia after the ww1 in 1923 and married my grandmother
Elizabeth. Bye. in 1924 . The puzzling bit is that there seems to be no divorce  or death record
his army records were destroyed in ww2 bombing so i cannot trace her there . would any one be able to help or may be have some idea's .

need help . my grandfathers last address before emigrating to Australia in 1923 was 571 York Terrace Latchford Warrington , when i google earth this address it shows as York Street Latchford would i be correct in assuming this is the right place, just a name change.   thanks in advance

thank you all for your help most grateful.

in some ancestry info they have Elizabeth down as a reeler, and a reader in another.
i realise that the person taking the census may have the wrong info from the
person or persons in the census, or that it has been misinterpreted between the
two parties Never the less i do believe there is a silk reader. This i believe relates to a
person tasked with setting the patten for the machines to weave, and could have been
as simple as setting a perforated card into or onto a rotating drum.

yes Stan , her name was Elizabeth. Bye. From Hunslet  born 1886 Father Frederick. Bye. i know she worked in a mill as a silk reader before the 1911 census.

trying to read 1911 census handwiting .

census has my grandmother's employment down as  Silk & looks like Plusher Factory, would any one know what a plusher factory was or is.
