The Common Room / Vanished website Help
« on: Monday 07 March 16 18:05 GMT (UK)  »
Hello my apologies if I have picked the wrong listing.
I have a Family History website http://freepages.family.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~warman/Index.html
Which seems to have disappeared.
I have not been made of any problems and people are asking where it is.
Can anybody help please.
Thanks  Andy

Hi, if you have the full address of the premises I may be able to help. Also, as you may have discovered, if it is Boxer, it is a common name in Folkestone/Cheriton.

I was in the Kent F B for 30 years, now retired and I know they carried quite a lot of Kent memorabilia, if you contact Yorkshire F B or even the local Fire Station you may even get photo's.

Hi yes I do have the census info.
I am just putting out a note in the hope someone may be able to connect with some information on the family in some way. I have people who are descendants of Herbert's siblings but unfortunately nobody has any information on him.

I am trying to gather information about Herbert Bowling B. Nov 1875 @ 13 Whitehouse Lane Nether Hallam Sheffield, son of George Bowling - Emma Taylor.
Herbert was trained as a Pork Butcher, probably by his elder brother Walter who has three shops in Sheffield.
Later Herbert owned a grocery shop @ Shown in Kelly's directory as Grocer 139 Howard Road Sheffield.
He was married to Elizabeth Ann Tingle 31 March 1902 St Bartholomews Church Shefield, they had two children Norman and Lilian.
Any information would be most gratefully received, thanks.
Herbert was my grandfather he died in 1944. I never new him.

I can confirm that the Dr Barnardos was in Wear Bay Road on the East Cliff Folkestone. I remember it being there. It is the top picture on the website link above. No longer in existence it closed years ago.
