WARNCOORT Thanks for helping I believe John and Ann where Both from Speke, Liverpool.

I have tried getting William B 1870 ? John and Ann's child but GRO is down.

RUSKIE I have had great success with looking for my other family but this Sutton lose me completely I have gone over everything today and am a 100% up until i find my g grandfather William Sutton B1870 I haven't got Bc yet, however through census I know his Parents are John b1835 and Ann b1830 there is a possibility Ann may also be a Sutton formally.

A few people on GU have carried out some research and that is where my confusion started, whereas most of the Suttons I was aware of where around Liverpool city centre, they believed that Ann's family originated around Formby.

SHAUNJ  Thanks I have all the details up to William b1870 and all his siblings haven't got any BC from that line need to try and sort it but i have most of the Baptisms.

I have been searching for years on Info on a william sutton of Liverpool, I believe I have now found the right family.
Is there anyone who is also researching Suttons of Liverpool.
My William Sutton was born 1870-1872 son of John sutton B1835 and Ann sutton 1830 not sure of her maiden name.

William 1870/2

I believe william married a Elizabeth Taylor and Had William b 1894, Daniel Thomas b1896, John 1898, Richard b1900 I think Elizabeth died in 1905 then he married a Catherine Kitty
Sutton nee Baker formally Hughes 1910 and had a child John b 1911.
Has anyone got any further info form me.

Really interested in these posts, I to was lead to believe our Dowlings were related but I have different names,
Mgg James Dowling b1869 Co Kildare was meant to be the brother of William Dowling B1867 children of Patrick Dowling and ? Mary Nolan.
That is why Bridget called her son William Patrick after her father and grandfather??

I think I need to go back to drawing board.

I saw this entry but have mixed feelings about it, Where is Duluth?? and how far is MI to MA, As He died in Massachusetts I assumed thats where he went, I also assumed he was born Liverpool but I suppose he could have been Sheffield. Was your info off Ancestry, i'll go library today and do a bit more digging.  There is another passenger details I wonder if anyone could look into this for me

Hope you are well, firstly thanks for this, I found on the Library Ancestry, that a William sutton went to Boston 16th April 1911 I'm assuming its him,

Right Lisa this is where I confuse you!!!!

When my dad was about 15 therefore 1950, they went to our Local Newspaper as a Legal Notice appeared looking for Relatives of a William Sutton, who had been in Liverpool between 1909-1911 he had been a hay dealer and carter??Died Boston MA, as this was an estate matter. Therefore i assume he died between 1945-50

It asked for anyone to go to a local Lawyer to resolve matter.  The Lawyer need proof, as my GD didn't have proof that was the end of matter. My GD was orphaned aged 9 and went to an orphanage but his half brothers looked after him who were called Russell so he went through life with this name.  His Aunt had told him his father was sutton and had gone to US. As he didn't know his real name he never had a birth certificate. Over the years I have researched for it and have now miraculously found it.

His Name is William Joseph Sutton, father William Sutton fathers occupation, a hay dealer and carter, therefore I believe this man in US is his father there are too many similarities.  I am assuming the man in US had no next of kin to come looking for people in LIverpool.  I would also love to know if he left a will. 

As i'm in UK i'm finding it hard to locate any info.
