Hi there! I realize this is an older thread but I'm just now investigating bits of my Scottish ancestry. I am in need of finding information on James Dickson, born in Dumfries-shire, date unknown, married to a Sarah Edgar (b. 1827), daughter of Walter Edgar (b. 1798). The Dicksons moved to America somewhere in between, but the only other thing I know about James Dickson is that he died in the Battle of Perryville in Kentucky during the American Civil War (1862). Any information on James would be greatly appreciated!!

I know this is an old thread but I've been doing a lot of background research on my family and I am a direct descendant of your inquiry Stephen Calverley and I have some information on him and wanted to know if you needed any more. Also, if you know anything beyond the 1785 Stephen Calverley (Grandfather of your inquiry) I would be very appreciative to hear it!!
