South Africa / Castell in South Africa
« on: Tuesday 10 November 09 03:10 GMT (UK)  »
My grandmothers brothers George Castell (b 21/10/1878 Kingston upon Hull) and Alexander Castell (b c1890 Poplar, London. d1956 SA), both migrated to South Africa.  I have been unable to trace any information about them except that Alexander married a Kathleen Florence Heath (d 1966 SA).
I would love to know if anyone has any information about these two brothers.

South Africa / Andrew & Maggie Jamieson
« on: Tuesday 10 November 09 03:03 GMT (UK)  »
Andrew Jamieson(b 22/12/1870 d 1939) and Maggie McAlpine Steel (b 10/4/1872 d 1941) married in Glasgow in 1907 and subsequently migrated to South Africa. Before they left UK his occupation was given in the 1901 census as Stationmaster.
Other than when they died, I have not been able to find any information about them in South Africa and wonder if anyone has any information that would assist.
Many thanks

South Africa / Spence in South Africa
« on: Friday 06 November 09 23:15 GMT (UK)  »
My GGrandfather John Spence married 3 times.  The first two were sisters, Charlotte and Mathilda Summers. Both died young and I would like to find out more about them.
Charlotte was born about 1834 (don't know where) and died in 1861.
I don't know the dates for Mathilda but she had a daughter Lilla Charlotte b 1867 d 1892.
Any help would be appreciated.
