Jabez was born in about 1879, the Zulu War started then, in his war papers it says he has the kings medal which would of been the Boer war

Hi Everyone
My Grandad was born in 1904, which would make him to young for the first War, Could anyone tell me a date on the picture and what regiment he could be in, He looks very young, under 20

I have all ready written to the Corps Security, and they said he is not listed as a member
of the Corps of Commissionares, but they did say there is a Special Events Team, but records
only go back six years
Is he wearing a Commissionares uniform, so he could have been in such a team

I have a picture of my Granfather at Olympia in the 1950s with Queen Mary
would he have been working for Olyimpia as a security guard or the Royal Family in the armed forces

He was known as both, his son was Jabez but I have no Birth cert for him, he came from a travelling family, his father was Sam Smith, but we know he went under his mothers name, one of the family says he served in India as well, but thats only hear say.
