Hi CaroleW I  do not know Rachel Clare but I am so interested to know what you say,how do I make contact? It would be so interesting to know of descendants of Benjamin and Mary Ann.     When I think back over the years Peterborough has changed from Northants to Cambridgeshire hence my confusion in the memory bank. Thanks ever so for your information.  Shella

Hi Dicky, I have been to Burstwick today but I am unable to give you the information you would like.As I said before there is a resident who remembers Birks  Row, which of course has now gone and is a "ten foot" leading to the Medforths yard which is now built on. Wilf is the only remaining member of the brothers you played with.         Shella.

Benjamin was my G Grandad and married Mary Ann French. My Grandma Harriet Agnes was their youngest child. Mary Ann remarried Alfred Holmes and had 5 more children. Grandma Harriet married Nathaniel Watling and she had 7 children, my mother Lelia Mary being one of them.       Shella.

Hi Dicky, I will tell this gentleman your grandads name and the years he lived there. The name of Medforth will still be remembered I am sure. I dont live in Burstwick but my friends live there and have  weekly contact with this gentleman. I will ask about the Medforths. I am sure you will be aware that the village suffered severe flooding, but all seems all back to near normal.   Shella
