Thank you I know all that and that the family goes back to the 1200s in Somerset and Wiltshire. I have extensive records. Look at my website and you will see.

What I am hoping for is that some one has unearthed some info that will fill some gaps. As I said with the internet these days the ability to communicate with others is much greater than 10 years ago and hoping that this will lead to long unaccessed records.

I'm in Canada although in the past I was making frequent trips to England. I did check with them 10 years ago or so but admittedly not recently.

If you are interested I have my info posted on www.jerrard.ca the genealogy section.

We have some gaps that we have not closed but there is more info available on the net than 10 years ago. I am hoping that someone has unearthed info recently that they may have available now that was not a few years ago.

Thanks
Tom

Sorry I forgot the dates - late 1500s to late 1600s.

Thanks for your suggestion. Yes I have been to the OPC and had all that info.

I have extensive records with regard to the Jerrard family from Chideock which include info about Thomas Trim and Susannah Jerrard.

Please visit www.jerrard.ca the genealogy section, combined certificates, marriage 1837 for a start and look in the Chideock section as well.

THOMAS TRIM AND SUSANNAH GERRARD

1.   Marriage
Chideock Parish Register on Microfilm at the Dorchester Record Office records the following:

Thomas White Trim married Susannah Gerrard on 17 Dec 1837 at Chideock Parish Church by Banns before Henry Rawlinson, Curate. Thomas was of Full Age but Susannah was a Minor. Both were from North Chideock; Thomas White was a Batchelor and Susannah a Spinster. Thomas White was recorded as a Labourer and his Father was Thomas White Trim (Deceased) formerly a Labourer. Susannah’s Father was Joseph Gerrard a Labourer

Both made their mark. The witnesses were Thomas and Betsey Bartlett (both X)

The entry was No 1 in the Register

2.   1841 Census
Thomas and Susannah are living next door to Susannah’s parents, Joseph and Susannah Spiller in North Chideock and Joseph’s eldest son John is either visiting or more probably lodging with them:
