Thanks, Nick as well - I got an email saying I'd got a reply and only saw casalguidi's.

I'll be definately checking the roll of honour out.

Many thanks for your help - amazing what you can learn if you ask!

Thanks, Casalguidi,

I didn't even know there was anything at the GRO other than th standard births marriages and deaths. When you say GRO is that the Family Record Centre place in Islington? Can I just go there and see it?

Thanks again
Nigel

Essex Completed Lookup Requests / 1891 Census Request Pretty Please

I'm trying to find where James Saward was in 1891.
He was born in Runwell around 1857 and was married to Louisa.
I think he was living in Springfield in 1891 but would love to know his address, job and any family members.

Thanks
nigel

I recently visited the national archives find out more on an ancestor I thought might have died in world war one.
I checked the CD-rom of soldiers and officers who died in WW1 and he wasn't on it.

However, i forgot to ask is this definatively means he didn't die in WW1.

Anyone know how accuarte it is? what sort of percentage it accounts for?

Thanks
