thank you ouma for responding to me.

i know grace was south african because i have managed to get hold of details concerning crossing the canadian border into america.

it states that she entered america 19 october 1912 aged 7 and that her birth country was south africa but does not state where. it also states that her race/nationaliaty is enflish.

apparntly she left from liverpool in the uk on the ship called magentic and arrived in quebec, canada.

i do not know if any of that info might help anyone think of anything.

once again thanks

hi there,

my husbands family are beavis/beevis that originate from swanton morley, norfolk.

they married into both the hudsons and pearces from swanton morley, norfolk.

william beevis born 1830 swanton morley, norfolk married a sarah hudson born 1834 swanton morley, norfolk  daughter of a edmund hudson and mary cocks. i believe they had 18 children but the eldest i think was illegitimate but was taken on by william as one of his own. i can give you alot more info on the children and there husbands if wanted and the hudsons aswell.

concernig the pearces from swanton morley, and where they fit in to my tree is a follows.

george pearce, born 1831 swanton morley was the son of philip pearce and hannah hickleton. he had several siblings. george married a esther beavis who is a relative of my husbands in 1854 in swanton morley. george and esther had 7 children. george did have another wife and she was called elizabeth cubbitt.

once again if you would like more info about children, marriages let me know and i wil let you know.
